FalleN uncertain about his FURIA future: I can’t stay 100% focused on competing anymore
The Brazilian professor reveals that he's committed to FURIA until next summer, but that his current situation of living in Europe isn't working out.
In an interview following FURIA’s exit from the Perfect World Shanghai Major, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo opened up about his future plans and hinted at a possible departure from FURIA in mid-2025.
Speaking on Alexandre "Gaules" Borba’s stream, the FURIA captain revealed that his current situation of living in Europe and focusing entirely on competition isn’t possible for him.
He also mentioned that his commitment to the Brazilian organization lasts until June 2025, after which his future remains undecided.
- I’ve agreed with the team that I’m fully committed until June. I joined FURIA a year and a half ago, and I planned to dedicate two years where CS is my top priority. Now, little by little during this break, talking to the people at FURIA as well, I’m figuring out how to resolve this aspect of my life because, the way things are, I can’t stay 100% focused solely on competing anymore—I want to do other things in life too, FalleN explained.
FalleN continued:
-This doesn’t mean I’m going to stop; I’ll have to look at the calendar and see if it’s possible to have a different kind of routine. For me, living in Europe and only competing proved impossible for me this year. But I’m committed to this until at least June of next year, and after that, we’ll figure out what comes next.
- There’s a chance I’ll keep playing with some adjustments, but maybe that’s it. Either way, I’m going to enjoy these next few months and make the most of all these tournaments, whether it’s to finish or continue this beautiful story, because I really love CS—it’s my life, FalleN said.

FalleN’s remarks come at the end of a disappointing year for FURIA, whose best result in 2024 was a 3rd-4th place finish at IEM Rio on home soil. The team fell short at both the Copenhagen and Shanghai Majors, failing to secure playoff spots.
FalleN joined FURIA in July 2023, alongside Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes, after leaving Imperial.
