Vitality keeps their head despite challenge from bounty hunter Liquid

The dominant side of 2025 avoided premature elimination despite a resilient Liquid.

The dominant side of 2025 avoided premature elimination despite a tenacious Liquid.

The team of the year, Team Vitality, faced Team Liquid in the quarter-final of the BLAST Bounty Season 2.

Being the lowest seed of the draft, Liquid was forced to play against Vitality, the #1 team in the world.

Liquid surprisingly managed two comebacks in both of their map losses, and had multiple map points during the series.

Though the Liquid’s AWPer went 6:2 against Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut, they ultimately fell to the French bees.

Train gamble almost an ace in the hole

Potentially trying to exploit a weakness, Liquid opted to take Vitality to Train.

This is one of their least picked maps of 2025 with only 9.4%, and yet had an opportunity to win it after being 6-12 down.

Once the map reached overtime, a 1v2 from Robin ‘ropz’ Kool proved crucial, pushing Vitality over the finish line.

ZywOo calls Liquid’s bluff on Nuke

On Vitality’s pick of Nuke, Liquid looked poised to take the series to a third map.

However, ZywOo went nuclear in the closing stages of Nuke to keep Vitality alive, eventually securing the win despite being against multiple map points.

Vitality go on in the Bounty, taking Liquid’s scalp, as the 2025 legends await their next challenge.
