Virtus.pro sidelines Perfecto; player eyes return to support role

Virtus.pro has officially moved Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy to the transfer list, signaling the end of a seven-month experiment that failed to revitalize the struggling squad.

Virtus.pro has officially moved Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy to the transfer list, signaling the end of a seven-month experiment that failed to revitalize the struggling squad. The organization announced today that the team will enter a “temporary competitive pause” to restructure its leadership and tactical identity.

The decision arrives amidst a catastrophic start to the 2026 season for Virtus.pro. Once a staple of the elite tier, the roster has suffered a string of humiliating defeats to Tier 2 and Tier 3 opposition, including losses to Nuclear TigeRES, Nemiga, RUSTEC, and WW.

Perfecto seeks return to “lurker” roots

While the organization cited an inability to “fully realize potential,” Zalutskiy’s own statement sheds light on his preferred future. The former Major winner clarified that he is looking to step away from leadership responsibilities to focus on his individual mechanics in a specific role.

“I’ve decided to pursue other career options,” Zalutskiy stated on X. “Now I’m looking forward to my career as a defensive midfielder/lurker, and I’m considering all offers.”

The shadow of Jame

The current crisis at Virtus.pro is inextricably linked to the void left by Dzhami “Jame” Ali. Since the legendary IGL departed last year, VP has been rudderless, spiraling into tactical disarray while Jame has successfully revitalized his career with PARIVISION.

The statistical impact of this instability is evident. While long-standing members FL1T and fame have managed to maintain respectable individual ratings, the newer additions have struggled to find impact within the disjointed system.

Strategic Reset

Virtus.pro management has confirmed that the search for a dedicated In-Game Leader is now the priority. The team’s “competitive pause” indicates they will skip upcoming matches to focus on internal testing, aiming to integrate a new captain who can utilize the firepower of FL1T and fame before the 2026 season is damaged beyond repair.
