Senzu said it was “not a sudden decision.”

The Mongolian team which reached a historic #1 ranking this year have just announced that they are moving Senzu to the inactive roster.

On X, Senzu showed gratitude and sadness to theMongolZ, saying it felt “like he was leaving his home”.

In their statement, TheMongolZ said that the decision was made after “careful discussions between players and management”, implying that Senzu was not part of the decision.

TheMongolZ became the first Asian team to take the #1 ranking on the VRS, which they held earlier this month.

They also won the biggest single prize award of the year in Counter-Strike, taking first place at the Esports World Cup with a 1,250,000 USD prize pool.

Senzu was the highest-rated player on TheMongolZ over the course of 2025, with a 1.12. The decision has led to widespread shock across the community.

TheMongolZ have yet to announce Senzu’s replacement.
