And the man in question is of course Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, who just helped FaZe eliminate CYPHER and BC.Game from the tournament with a 2-0 win.
Whether s1mple is the greatest of all time is still up for debate, but what’s certain is that the Ukrainian superstar now has his first win in a FaZe jersey.
FaZe secured the victory in their lower bracket elimination match, picking up a 13-10 win on Mirage and following it up with a dominant 13-4 performance on Anubis.

The highlight player ended up being no other than s1mple, as he delivered a stellar individual performance on both maps.
Although s1mple started off strong on Mirage, it was on Anubis where he really came alive. Equipped with his beloved AWP, the 27-year-old star took down one BC.Game player after another on the server, leaving the underdogs helpless.
With 21 kills and 6 deaths, s1mple ended the last map with an outstanding 2.23 rating, also topping the leaderboard for the entire series.
FaZe will continue their lower bracket run on Wednesday, where they’ll meet the loser of Heroic vs Falcons.
