North American Counter-Strike icon Jake “Stewie2K” Yip appears to be making his competitive return, as he’s now registered on Wildcard’s roster for the PGL Astana 2025 NA Closed Qualifier.
Speculation had already been swirling after Wildcard dropped a teaser video showing one of Stewie2K’s signature plays – a pop flash through a smoke – alongside a weapon with his stickers on.
Now, with his name appearing on the official team list, the wait is over—at least partially. Whether he’ll play as a temporary stand-in or be a full-time addition to the roster is still unclear.
Wildcard’s current roster consists of the following players:
