Martin “stavn” Lund has announced his departure from Astralis after his hiatus, which started in September last year.
The Danish rifler posted a statement on X, where he explains the reasoning behind his break. You can read the full statement just below.
Not a successful time on Astralis
While stavn is probably most known for his time on Astralis, as they’re one of the premier organization in Counter-Strike, it wasn’t the successful cooperation the team and player had hoped.
Prior to joining Astralis he was on HEROIC for four years. During that tenure he won five trophies and made the HLTV Top 20 four times, placing #12 in 2020, #16 in 2021, #10 in 2022 and #9 in 2023.
Astralis has also released a statement thanking stavn. The team, however, has different things to worry about right now, as after both stavn, device and magisk has left the team. That means there’s just three players left on the roster with Love “phzy” Smidebrant and Gytis “ryu” Glušauskas rumored to be joining.
