Robin “ropz” Kool has embarked on a new journey with Vitality following his decision to leave FaZe during the off-season.
At the media day for BLAST Bounty Finals, the 25-year-old Estonian shared his thoughts on the high-profile transfer to the French team in an interview with Pley.gg
A major topic of discussion during the talk was Vitality’s star AWPer Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.
– Playing with ZywOo is something I’ve never done before, but it’s been something I’ve wanted to do at some point in my career. I’ve never played with a super hard carry in that sense on my past teams, so it’s going to be a different dynamic, ropz said.
He continued:
– I’ve already seen how good he is in practice and in the matches we’ve played. I think there’s a lot I can learn from him—seeing how he thinks about the game and what his vision is. It’s going to be an interesting journey, and I’m excited to win trophies with him.

When asked about the experience of practicing and playing alongside ZywOo, ropz didn’t hold back in praising his new teammate’s skill.
– It feels like watching highlights on YouTube. There have been practices where the guy was just hitting five headshots, and you’re just chilling in a bombsite not having to do anything. That’s how it’s going to be sometimes—he’s that good.
– Playing with him is super inspiring, and it also gives me extra motivation to up my own game and be the best version I can.
Can you even learn from ZywOo, or is it impossible because of how instinctive he plays?
– That’s a good question. It’s true that he has a very unique instinct. The way he processes his decisions is so fast you can’t really explain it—he just has this natural talent. It’s going to be hard to learn from that, but it’s definitely inspiring and motivating to play next to him and see how he does things, ropz explained.
ropz is set to get his LAN debut on Vitality later this Friday when he and Vitality kick off their playoff campaign at BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals. Here they are set to go up against Eternal Fire in the quarterfinal at 16:00 CET.
