PGL has confirmed that the second Counter-Strike Major of 2026 will take place in Singapore from November 25 to December 13 with a prize pool of 1.25 million dollars.

PGL has confirmed that the second Counter-Strike Major of 2026 will take place in Singapore from November 25 to December 13 with a prize pool of 1.25 million dollars.

The event will feature 32 teams battling through three stages before the playoffs move into the 12,000 seat Singapore Indoor Stadium. The tournament will end with a best of five grand final that will decide the next Major champion.

This marks the first time Southeast Asia hosts a Counter-Strike Major. The region joins a growing list of new international destinations after Perfect World brought the Major to Shanghai in 2024 and opened the door for more top-tier events in Asia.

Another Major for PGL

For PGL this becomes the company’s fifth Major after Krakow 2017, Stockholm 2021, Antwerp 2022 and Copenhagen 2024. The organiser is already familiar with Singapore as a location because of multiple DOTA 2 events, including The International in 2022.

The Singapore Tourism Board welcomed the announcement. Assistant Chief Executive Ms. Jean Ng highlighted the country’s ambition to further grow its esports presence and described the 2026 Major as an opportunity to showcase Singapore’s appeal to fans across the region.

– “As one of the most prestigious tournaments in the Counter-Strike scene, the event promises to attract fans from around the region, and we invite them to also enjoy Singapore’s lifestyle experiences and vibrant energy”.

The 2026 Singapore Major is expected to draw large international crowds and will be one of the biggest events of the Counter-Strike calendar next year.
