Top-tier Counter-Strike is making its long-awaited return to Kraków after ten years, PGL revealed on Tuesday.
The prominent tournament organizer announced that the Polish city will host PGL Kraków 2027 – a Tier 1 event scheduled to run from January 13 to 25, 2027.
This announcement marks a homecoming for PGL, as Kraków hosted PGL’s first-ever Counter-Strike Major back in 2017: PGL Major Kraków.
That event saw Gambit Esports defy expectations, stunning the CS scene by winning their first Major and securing a historic victory for the CIS region.
PGL CEO Silviu Stroie expressed his excitement about bringing the tournament back to Kraków.
– PGL Major Kraków 2017 was a landmark moment for us and the esports community. The passion of the fans and the thrilling competition created unforgettable memories. We are excited to return to Kraków and build upon this legacy, Stroie stated in a press release.
