New CS2 update brings changes to Inferno and Train

Map fixes and fresh skins headline CS2’s latest update.

In the latest Counter-Strike 2 update, Valve has rolled out changes to Inferno and Train, along with a batch of fresh skins and minor gameplay improvements.

The most notable change comes to Banana on Inferno, which has been widened to more closely match its size in CS:GO – a welcomed tweak for the players who felt the CS2 version was too narrow.

Both Inferno and Train have also received various simplifications and adjustments aimed at improving player movement and utility usage, while also cleaning up unwanted pixel gaps.

Fresh skins

Valve also introduced around 100 new skins, now available through three new weekly drop collections: Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant, as part of the Weekly Care Package. These collections replace the previously available Bank, Italy, Lake, and original Train collections.

In addition, the new Fever Case and Train 2025 Collection are now available under Armory content, along with a limited-edition item: XM1014 | Solitude.

– Replaced see-through grating on catwalk outside of Z door
– Replaced see-through fences at top if Ivy with solid version
– Simplified brick wall by Ivy
– Fixed grenade collision on upper B arch
