The big storyline before the playoffs at ESL Pro League Season 14 was the opportunity for Natus Vincere to win their fourth S-tier tournament and claim the Grand Slam and the $1.000.000 prize. With Gambit’s unexpected loss yesterday, the way seems paved for s1mple and his teammates. Today they took the first step with a demonstration of power against ENCE.
The Finnish Organization tried to throw a curveball picking Ancient as the first map. The gamble went horribly wrong for ENCE, who was destroyed 16-2 by a fast paced NAVI squad with an unstoppable Valeriy ‘B1T’ Vakhovskiy going 23-6 in K-D!
NAVI has had a 100% win-rate on Nuke in the last three months. And that did not change today. Once again NAVI showed another pace in their approach to the game, which seemed to completely stumple ENCE, who was struggling to find any answers to the potent offensive, that NAVI displayed.
In one of the quickest playoff matches in history, NAVI won 16-2, 16-5 and showcased their impressive strength. It is very hard to find a team, that can stop the NAVI-train from winning the Grand Slam.
