Media: Financial report confirms heavy losses at Astralis

A report by Richard Lewis confirms the grim reality of Astralis.

Astralis is in serious financial trouble, according to a shareholder document obtained by journalist Richard Lewis.

The report confirms previous rumours about their grim financial situation and outlines a year of steep losses, project closures, and growing pressure to secure new investment.

The Danish organisation reportedly lost over DKK 43 million (~$6.3 million) in 2024, with revenue dropping by more than half compared to the year prior. Several side projects, including their Talent division and women’s team, were shut down to cut costs.

To survive, Astralis is said to be exploring three strategic options: a merger, new capital via shares, or a partial/full sale of the company and its assets, including potentially the Counter-Strike team.

The document also warns that without outside funding, there are “significant doubts” about Astralis’ ability to continue operating.

Chairman Nikolaj Nyholm has reportedly stepped back in as CEO to oversee the process.
