M80 has started peaking at the right time for the IEM Cologne Major.

M80 has started peaking at the right time for the IEM Cologne Major.

In a North American derby bound to be close, M80 made quick work of NRG. They qualify for Stage 2 of the Major with a 3-1 record, while NRG are sent to play the 2-2 decider match.

After a difficult season, JBa is finally finding form on M80.

M80 vs Grim

NRG had a chance to take it to a third map, up 10-7 on Inferno. However, they completely fell apart against M80’s defense, which put up six rounds in a row, the last ones dominant.

NRG picked Ancient, but the pick completely backfired. They were humbled by a 6-13 scoreline, where everyone on M80 got a chance to shine.

On NRG, it was Grim vs. the world, the only player who managed a positive scoreline on NRG.

Player of the match: JBa

Swisher had another great performance here, stepping up since M80 made roster changes. However, JBa won crucial rounds on Inferno, which were critical for their victory in the series.
