NRG Esports has begun a significant shift in its Counter-Strike 2 roster, benching AWPer Josh “oSee” Ohm and transferring rifler Jadan “HexT” Postma to M80. These moves reflect a new direction for the North American organization as it rebuilds with emerging talent and fresh synergy.
Josh “oSee” Ohm’s benching is a major development. After joining NRG in November 2023 following the organization’s return to Counter-Strike, oSee aimed to spark a resurgence in his career. His run included wins at Fragadelphia 18 and several online tournaments such as the PrizePicks NA Revival Series, CCT events, and ESL Challenger League Season 49. He posted an average HLTV rating of 1.15 across 361 maps with NRG, but the results told a different story on LAN. His average rating dropped to 1.05 in offline events, influenced by weaker performances at IEM Dallas (0.74) and BLAST.tv Austin Major Stage 1 (0.93), despite stronger outings at two Fragadelphia events.
NRG confirmed that oSee was offered the opportunity to remain on the roster as a rifler, but he opted to bench himself and pursue other opportunities outside the organization. This opens a spot for new blood and suggests NRG is focused on long-term potential over immediate name value.
HexT Joins M80 While NRG Eyes New Talent
In a separate but equally notable move, Jadan “HexT” Postma has transferred to M80, where he replaces Nicholas “reck” Wiseman. While HexT showed mechanical skill and aggression during his time with NRG, he struggled to find consistent form within the lineup. The move to M80 could offer him a better fit and more room to grow.
To fill the gaps, NRG is expected to sign Carson “nosraC” O’Reilly and Zack “XotiC” Elshani. This was reported by HLTV.
What Comes Next for NRG
With these roster changes, NRG’s active lineup is expected to include:
- Nick “nitr0” Cannella (In-game Leader)
- Jeorge “Jeorge” Endicott
- Alexander “br0” Bro
- Carson “nosraC” O’Reilly (Not confirmed)
- Zack “XotiC” Elshani (Not confirmed)
- Damian “daps” Steele (Coach)
- Josh “oSee” Ohm (Benched)
Pending the official addition of nosraC and XotiC, the organization appears committed to a hybrid approach of experience and developmental talent. nitr0’s leadership will be critical during this transition, supported by the guidance of coach Damian “daps” Steele, who has a strong track record of building successful North American lineups.
The team’s inconsistent LAN performances over the past year have highlighted a need for evolution. With the upcoming changes, NRG aims to solidify a lineup capable of contending not only in domestic competitions but also on the international stage. The next few months will be crucial in determining whether this reshaped roster can deliver consistent results and restore the organization’s status among North America’s top-tier teams.
