Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo and MOUZ have qualified for Playoffs at the StarLadder Budapest Major after a 2-1 victory over Falcons. And while they started out rough by dropping an 11-5 lead on Mirage, they fought on and took the next two maps confidently.
Speaking with Jimpphat after the match he told us that he and MOUZ only have one goal.
“It’s just the Major trophy, nothing else is good for us.”
Short, sweet and to the point is all you can describe that as. The Finish rifler was confident and their gameplay reflects that. A win over Falcons and a very close game against Spirit, but it all comes on the back of hard work.
“Everybody is putting all their focus on the game and the Major. We all worked so hard for this the last months and everybody knows we just really want to win this and that we have the chance.
Speaking a bit more of the game against Falcons, MOUZ had prepared well and started each half strong taking six out of six pistol rounds.
“Big thanks to Sycrone, because he’s the guy who’s making the pistol rounds and he’s the mastermind. I think he had Zonic’s number to be honest.”
With the change from MR15 to MR12 in CS2 the pistol rounds are even more important now than before. This has lead to MOUZ having a bigger focus on them in their preparation.
“Pistol roinds in general have a lot more impact now than they had in CS:GO. We want to maximize every chance that we have to win the pistol round.”
Into the playoffs is MOUZ and waiting for them is Vitality, Spirit and FURIA. When asked what team from this year Jimpphat would want revenge on he didn’t hesitate.
“Spirit, Falcons and Vitality. They’re the big three teams. FURIA now aswell, we want to show those four teams that we’re capable of beating them.”
