PARIVISION survived the final 2-2 decider in dramatic fashion, edging out Legacy 2-1 in a series that had everything from early clutches to a wild double overtime finish on Dust2.
Jame set the tone from the very first pistol with highlight clutches on Ancient, guiding a squad of rookies through the pressure of a win-or-go-home match.
Legacy hit back hard on Inferno to force a decider, but Dust2 turned into a nerve wracking brawl where PARIVISION clawed back from an 11-5 deficit, held their nerve in overtime, and finally closed it out 19-16 to punch their ticket to Stage 2 at the Budapest Major.
Map 1 – Ancient (PARIVISION’s pick)
The final match in the 2-2 bracket starts with PARIVISION taking the pistol after a Jame 1v3 clutch. Legacy’s force buy fails and PARIVISION race into a 5-0 lead on the back of slow, methodical T rounds and another Jame 1v2. Legacy finally respond as latto steps up and they string together three rounds to make it 6-3, but PARIVISION’s pistols steal one back for 7-3. Legacy close the half with two more, but still trail 7-5.
The second pistol is a disaster for Legacy as their split setup gets picked apart and PARIVISION move to 9-5. Legacy win their first gun round and a clean post plant from n1ssim pulls it back to 10-9 after breaking PARIVISION’s money. The Russians hold firm, though, winning a key retake to restore the gap and converting a 3v4 to reach match point at 12-9. They close it 13-9 and go 1-0 up in the series.
Map 2 – Inferno (Legacy’s pick)
Legacy start strong on their CT pick as they win the pistol, convert the anti force and take the first gun round with a solid retake to go 3-0. PARIVISION struggle to find space as Legacy shut down almost every hit and quickly copy the Ancient scoreline by going 6-0 up. PARIVISION finally break through with a well executed A take, but triple nades on banana restore Legacy’s control for 7-1. A Jame 4k keeps PARIVISION alive for a moment, yet Legacy still push the lead to 9-3 at the half.
PARIVISION claim the second pistol and follow up, but Legacy immediately answer to make it 10-5. A B stack from PARIVISION fails, Legacy reach 11 with all ten players alive, and another clean A hit pushes them to 12-5 and match point. Forced onto a low buy, PARIVISION gamble with no one on B and two in CT. Legacy walk in, plant, and shut down the retake to win 13-5 and tie the series.
Map 3 – Dust2
PARIVISION open the decider with a clean T pistol off a B split and convert for 2-0. Legacy’s low buy steals the third and they tie it 2-2, but PARIVISION regain the lead with a B hit before a good mid round from Legacy makes it 3-3. Latto’s 4k on B pushes Legacy ahead 4-3 and PARIVISION’s light investment cannot stop them going up 6-3. Nota then delivers a huge ace, starting with a Tec-9 3k and finishing with two AWP kills to keep PARIVISION in it at 6-4. Legacy stay in front and close the half 7-5.
A fast A hit gives Legacy the pistol and follow up for 9-5, and latto powers them through the first gun round for 10-5 before they reach 11. PARIVISION finally stabilize on CT, stringing together three chaotic rounds to close the gap to 11-9. Legacy nearly grab their 12th on a half buy, but PARIVISION hold to reach 11-10. Legacy answer back to 12-10 as PARIVISION feel the pressure. PARIVISION almost force OT immediately, yet a n1ssim mistake keeps it at 12-11. They make no error the next time, win a clean round and drag it to overtime after coming back from 11-5.
Legacy stay aggressive in OT and take the first two T rounds for 14-12, but PARIVISION reply and bring it to 14-13 at the switch, then tie it 14-14. Legacy hit B behind n1ssim’s AWP to reach 15-14, only for PARIVISION to insist on B again and force double overtime at 15-15. When PARIVISION go A long they drop a round, so they return to B to level it 16-16, then finally steal one on A to lead 17-16 at the half. A failed B split from Legacy gives PARIVISION match point at 18-16 and an A site retake closes it 19-16 in double overtime. Jame does it again – this time with a squad of complete rookies.
