Antonio “MartinezSa” Martinez has apologized after shouting “Jackie Chan” during Gentle Mates’ match against The MongolZ at ESL Pro League. In a post on X after the match, Martinez called the comment “completely inappropriate,” said he condemns any form of racism or discrimination, and stated he accepts any decision or sanction from the club.
Gentle Mates followed up with a statement saying the behavior does not reflect the organization’s values, that the player has recognized the seriousness of his words, and that he accepts the sanctions decided by the club.
The MongolZ response
The MongolZ responded publicly writing “No offense taken” to MartinezSa’s post on X. The organization has also referenced the moment with a lighthearted Jackie Chan GIF in a separate post on X.
