FURIA humble BetBoom to reach IEM Cologne playoffs

YEKINDAR and KSCERATO reached their peak to get FURIA to playoffs 3-0.

YEKINDAR and KSCERATO reached their peak to get FURIA to playoffs 3-0.

On the analyst desk, YNk was clear that FURIA is a “dangerous team” heading into playoffs.

It’s not a pipe dream [for FURIA to win the Major]. In 2025, they became the number one team, and they look like their old selves.

FURIA defeated BetBoom 2-0 in a qualification match for the IEM Cologne Major playoffs. FURIA went undefeated in this stage, beating B8, MOUZ and BetBoom.

BetBoom are playing with a stand-in at this event, and this match was the first time it showed. Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Galinskis played at his peak in this match, finding clinical openings, breaking BetBoom apart.

A clean Overpass

FURIA’s map pick of Overpass could hardly have gone better, as they managed to get a 6-6 T-side score with YEKINDAR finding 13 kills.

On the switch of sides, him and Danil ‘molodoy’ Golubenko took apart BetBoom in turns. While Kirill ‘Magnojez’ Rodnov had been effective on CT-side, his T-side implact was completely neutralized.

A clinical FURIA cleanly closed out Overpass 13-6.

Discombobulated BetBoom on Dust2

FURIA continued their dominance on Dust2, this time Kaike ‘KSCERATO’ Cerato taking his chance to shine. Helping get FURIA a 5-0 start, he was a constant thorn in BetBoom’s side.

In a critical eleventh round in the match, which could have broken FURIA’s economy, the Brazilian closer found a 4k that closed out the round and gave FURIA an 8-4 lead at the half.

In the second half, YEKINDAR had his way with BetBoom, finding space all the time and catching them off-guard. By the end, FURIA looked a class above BetBoom, as they beat them 13-6 on Dust2.

Player of the match: YEKINDAR

With an 11:6 record in pure opening kills, most damage, tied for most multi-kills (12) and the highest kills on the server (39), YEKINDAR is showing his absolute peak in time for the Major playoffs.
