FURIA came out on top in the clutches to deny Spirit a third IEM Katowice/Krakow final in a row.
FURIA prevailed over Daniil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets’s firepower, in a series Spirit could have won 2-0. FURIA are back to their bread and butter – making the matches close but closing the clutches.
The first map of Mirage had donk and Dimitri ‘sh1ro’ Sokolov firing and winning the clutches, but crumbled against FURIA.
Daniil ‘molodoy’ Golubenko was allowed to run rampant, finding an aggressive multikill as the terrorist rushed through and tried to trade him.
FURIA came through with the map win in 16-13 fashion, going into Spirit’s pick of Dust2.

Despite losing a potentially back-breaking clutch by KSCERATO on an anti-eco, Spirit bounced right back. They found 7 rounds in a row on their T-side to leave FURIA blank.
FURIA won the first half, and still lost the map 8-13. Spirit’s T-side calling was baffling to FURIA, never able to get into a good late-round situation.

Collapses have been the theme of these playoffs, and Spirit got the memo. They lost a 1v2 against molodoy, despite a clutch shot from sh1ro. Then, they lost a 2v5 to FURIA’s leader and Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Gaļinskis.
It wasn’t until donk had a brilliant 4k defending squeaky door that Spirit even got a round, making it 1-6.
By the end of the 9-3 T-side for FURIA, the writing was on the wall already.
A 1v1 clutch for KSCERATO at 11-7 secured the win for FURIA thanks to a molodoy masterclass on the third map.
donk and sh1ro leave disappointed, after great individual performances did not amount to great team success.
magixx’s return to Spirit was spoiled. Like huNter-, he felt the abuse of trying to play and lead simultaneously.
