Martin “stavn” Lund has officially opened his chapter with Ninjas in Pyjamas, and if his debut is anything to go by, the Swedish-based organization has found a lethal new marksman. NIP cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over the Brazilian squad Sharks in the playoffs of the CCT Global Finals 2026, driven by a spectacular performance from their newest Danish star.
New role for stavn
Stepping into an unfamiliar primary sniper role, stavn quickly silenced any doubts about his transition. He looked completely at home with the “Big Green” in his hands, racking up 16 AWP kills across the series. The Dane was an unstoppable force on the server, posting a massive 1.50 average rating over the two maps and showcasing incredible impact in his debut.
Dominance on Ancient and Nuke
The match itself was a dominant affair for Ninjas in Pyjamas. They dismantled Sharks with identical 13-7 scorelines on both Ancient and Nuke. The Brazilians struggled to find an answer to NIP’s calculated aggression and stavn’s suffocating sniper holds, allowing the Ninjas to cleanly secure their spot in the next round of the $75,000 tournament.
With this victory, NIP sets themselves up for a clash against Monte in the Upper Semi-Finals.
BIG survives Dust2 thriller
Elsewhere in the tier-1 stacked playoff bracket, BIG managed to survive a grueling three-map thriller against 100 Thieves. The opening-round series went the absolute distance, culminating in a nail-biting overtime finish on the decider map of Dust2, where the German squad ultimately clutched out the win.
