The action started with FURIA’s map pick on Nuke, but the Brazilian came slowly out as FaZe quickly managed to stabilize a lead. A 10-5 lead at halftime was too big for FURIA to make a comeback from, despite gaining a couple of rounds in the second, it was too late. FaZe could comfortably close out the first map 16-9.
On Inferno, FURIA turned their form around, showing a much better defensive half, thanks to arT‘s improved performance. The Brazilians played a near-flawless CT side and closed the first half with an 11-4 advantage. Little room was given to FURIA for a comeback following the side swap, though, and FaZe rushed up to a 15-6 scoreline. saffee and drop sealed the deal and grabbed the final round to close out the map 16-6.
Moving into the decider on Mirage, FaZe kickstarted the map in good form, converting the opening pistol and the following seven rounds before FURIA put their first on their tally. They extended their advantage on the defensive half, and thanks to an inspiring broky performance, they were able to go into the break 10-5 ahead. Things turned around from the second half, this time it was FURIA who put a winning streak together taking five rounds in a row to make it 10-10. But from thereon, FaZe went to another gear and closed the map before things went too tight. The European team won the map 16-13 and the series 2-1.
