FaZe miss EWC with NIP loss

The new-look NIP defeated FaZe in Stake Ranked with the addition of stavn.

According to an analysis by @JesperLarssen22 on X, FaZe have destroyed their chances of attending the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Paris by losing to NIP at Stake Ranked Episode 2.

An intense matchup due to the VRS implications, NIP came out on top in 2-0 fashion after closing out two close maps, when NIP previously had struggled closing out close matches.

Their captain, Snappi, credited stavn – once a star rifler now turned AWPer for NIP.

stavn is bringing a lot of communication, [he’s] someone who can help me in the mid-round. I always lacked a second voice in the team, and he’s been doing it his whole career.

stavn is famous for being cadiaN’s right-hand man in the HEROIC that contended to win Majors in 2021-2023, and now he is fulfilling the same role for Snappi in NIP.

What it means for FaZe

With this loss, FaZe will not be competing at EWC, hurting their chances at qualifying for future big events.

EWC is a massive tournament featuring 32 teams, which would have been fertile ground for FaZe to gain VRS points. As it stands, Monte will be the one to take the spot at EWC.
