FaZe finally make it through, after almost fumbling a 2-0 start.
The series began on Anubis, MIBR’s map pick.
It started out close on FaZe’s T-side, as they couldn’t string rounds together, and insani was having impactful rounds.
The pendulum of the game swung in FaZe’s favor, when frozen and s1mple won a 2v5, after which MIBR did not post another round.
Lucaozy and insani both fragged, but the scoreboard did not reflect it at all, only managing 4 rounds.
Ancient was back-and-forth
Ancient had a number of close rounds at the start which all seemed to go FaZe’s way.
One of them was a 3v4 round that FaZe won on A-site with a frozen one tap.
Later in the half, MIBR managed to string together rounds with saffee’s AWPing finding picks.
MIBR started their comeback on the T-side, where they strung together 5 rounds. FaZe replied after with strong A-holds from frozen.
It took a 3v4 retake on B-site to bring FaZe to overtime, with EliGE getting a defuse with little time to spare.
S1mple took over in overtime with the AWP, stifling MIBR’s attack. FaZe closed out to get to the final stage of the Major.
