It’s time for the most exciting event of esports history: the CS:GO Major.
Starting today, this tournament will have millions of eyes fixed on Antwerp. With a million dollars up for grabs, 24 teams that qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 will fight and do everything in their power to write their names in golden ink in the Counter-Strike history books.
The Challengers’ Stage, which starts today, will see 16 teams brawling to secure a spot in the Legends’ Stage. 8 teams will fail, while the other 8 will qualify and get the opportunity to test themselves against the remaining 18 that are patiently waiting in the Legends’ Stage for the action to begin. There are no second chances for teams here.
PGL Major Antwerp 2022 will feature some of the biggest stars and greatest players in CS:GO, but only one of these players will be able to win HLTV’s MVP Award for the best player of the tournament. Who will it be?

A man who was always up for consideration for the “greatest CSGO player of all time” locked in that distinction to end last year thanks to a dominating title victory at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and his second HLTV Best Player of the year award.
As a whole, it’s fair to say that NAVI have yet to reclaim the dominance they displayed throughout the second half of 2021, but that’s understandable due to the situation that the players and organization are in. Even with everything that’s going on, Boombl4 and company are still the reigning champions and the Ukrainian beast, s1mple, is still widely considered the greatest player in the world and the favorite to win the HLTV MVP Award of PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
