FalleN was complimentary of G2’s new squad after the semi-final of BLAST Open London.

FURIA came in straight to the semi-final after the online group stage, but only managed 10 rounds over two maps here.

Despite losing in convincing fashion, FalleN thought that the series came down to individual form.

“I felt before the match, and even after the match, that it was pretty much open to who’s going to be playing better,” FalleN said.

He highlighted malbsMd specifically.

“Malbs has been doing very well. I like his game a lot. So, you’ve got to give it to the opponents as well sometimes.”

“He’s very aggressive and he has such a great aim that he makes a lot of plays work, and he’s putting a lot of work into their sites.”

We asked FalleN if having YEKINDAR gave him more options, like fer back in his hayday.

“Definitely, I love playing with YEKINDAR because he reminds me of fer, taking the initiative and going for some kills,” FalleN said.

“Today, his ideas didn’t work, but you cannot only be happy when it works. […] I think today wasn’t a great day for him, for everyone on the team. And we just got to learn from this and come back stronger next time.
