With 10 out of 25 tournaments completed, Falcons are at risk of losing the EWC Club Championship for the first time.
Sitting at sixth place, Falcons are at risk of losing the Esports World Cup (EWC) Club Championship for the first time. This potentially opens the door for another organization to take a $7,000,000 bonus.
EWC is organized by the Esports Foundation, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Team Falcons are the premier Saudi Arabian esports organization, fielding a Major-winning roster in CS2 as well as in other esports titles, and have won the EWC Club Championship in both its editions.

The EWC Club Championship is a reward system for organizations competing across the 25 different EWC tournaments. The top 24 teams, calculated through a points system throughout all EWC tournaments, receive some financial reward, with the winner receving a ceremony at the conclusion.

Currently, Natus Vincere (NAVI) is sitting at first place with the most points accrued, however, they are unlikely to remain in this position as they can only compete in four of the remaining 15 tournaments.
Meanwhile, Team Vitality and AG.AL will compete in at least 10 of the remaining 15 tournaments. Team Falcons will compete at 13 of them, still leaving them as one of the favorites.
Falcons’ EWC prestige challenged for the first time
Coinciding with EWC’s last-minute departure to Paris as a result of the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, it may also mark the time Falcons were not the subject of the EWC award ceremony.
Team Vitality already presented a challenge to Team Falcons last year, within reach of the title. This year, they have fielded more rosters for EWC tournaments, giving them an even better chance.
Normally, Falcons have won the Club Championship with relative ease, assisted by their participation in more tournaments than their competitors. However, teams like Team Vitality and Team Liquid (who was 2nd last year) have wisened up and fielded more rosters to try to clinch the highest club bonus.
