Saturday at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 featured another four matches, and by the end of the day, NAVI and Eternal Fire had locked in their places in the Group B playoffs.
The two will now face each other in the Group B Upper Final on Monday, where the winner will go directly to the semifinals, while the loser drops into the quarterfinals.
Tough day for the Brazilians
The day kicked off with Liquid taking on Imperial in a back-and-forth best-of-three. Liquid took Dust2 convincingly before Imperial fought back on Nuke. However, on the decider, Anubis, Liquid’s firepower proved too much as they closed out the series 13-5 to stay alive in the tournament.
In the second match, M80 completed a surprising comeback to eliminate FURIA in what was a huge blow to the Brazilian side. Despite a dominant start from FURIA on Dust2, M80 responded with strong showings on Train and Inferno, including a tight 19-17 overtime finish in map three.
Playoff spots to be decided
In the upper bracket, Eternal Fire faced G2 and looked sharp throughout the series. After taking Anubis with a solid CT side, they closed it out on Inferno 13-10, with wicadia and woxic leading the way in both maps.
To close out the day, NAVI took on The MongolZ in a rematch from ESL Pro League. NAVI started strong on Dust2 but were blown out on Inferno. The series was decided on Mirage, where NAVI edged out a 16-13 victory thanks to standout performances from jL and Aleksib.
