Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has now spent just over a month with FaZe, joining the squad on loan ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
While the Ukrainian superstar may not be in peak form yet, he has shown glimpses of his former self in recent matches.
And according to Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, things are only trending upward for the AWPer.
Speaking to Pley after FaZe’s win over MOUZ last night, EliGE shared his thoughts on s1mple’s progression and growing impact.
– It’s been really nice. I obviously played with him a long time ago, and I still feel like a lot of the same chemistry we had before in the game. I think we’re playing really well together. He’s bringing a lot of things that we need.
– Now, you’re also seeing a lot of the highs from Sasha and how many sick clips he can make. He also puts us in many good advantage situations, and I think he will only improve as we keep going.

“A whole new vibe”
In our chat with EliGE, the North American rifler highlighted the impact s1mple has made beyond just raw firepower. Here, he points to his presence, structure, and vibes.
According to EliGE, it’s already helping FaZe find better flow inside the server.
– Obviously, we made the change bringing him in for broky going into this Major, and that kind of brought like a whole new vibe. His vibe of how he talks and how he plays is all contributing [to their improvement].
– He’s just a really good fit in how it’s feeling in the server and how we’re making rotations and playing off each other. We understand how we want to play in a lot of situations together. So, that has been really helpful for us.
