electroNic: I’m not a former pro player, I really want to come back

Denis “electroNic” Sharipov does not consider his playing career over. A month after BC.Game moved him to the bench, the 2021 Major winner told viewers of a Russian-language stream that he wants to return.

electroNic was a guest on Russian streamer stariy_bog’s broadcast of 1win Private Club #2 in Belgrade on Wednesday. During PARIVISION‘s semi-final against BIG, the conversation turned to messages in the chat describing him as a former pro player. electroNic corrected that. In Pley’s translation from Russian:

I’m not a former pro player. I really want to come back. So yes, don’t count me among the former ones just yet.

The clip was picked up and subtitled in English by NarT.

Benched for a move to Asia

BC.Game signed the Russian rifler from Virtus.pro in October 2025, reuniting him with s1mple, his teammate at NAVI from 2017 to 2023. On 22 September 2026, the club moved him to the bench and signed Australian Tyson “asap” Paterson in his place.

The decision was driven by Valve’s Regional Standings. With asap in the lineup, BC.Game have an Asian core and chase one of Asia’s places at the Singapore Major, instead of a European ranking where they sat 36th at the time, far from the top 18. CEO Ali Muhanned said the approaching Major deadline in early November forced the move.

The new lineup is still chasing points: BC.Game face FaZe at DraculaN Season 7 in Bucharest on .

One of the best of his generation

electroNic, 28, joined NAVI from FlipSid3 Tactics in November 2017. Alongside s1mple he played in three Major finals and won the PGL Major Stockholm in 2021. HLTV ranked him among the ten best players in the world four years in a row, from fourth in 2018 to seventh in 2021.

He left NAVI in the summer of 2023 for Cloud9, whose roster continued as Virtus.pro from April 2024. Virtus.pro benched him in August 2025, two months before he joined BC.Game.

He is still on BC.Game’s inactive roster and has not announced a new team.
