BIG and GamerLegion have suffered severe setbacks in their campaigns to reach the upcoming Singapore Major. Both European rosters finished in last place at Fissure Playground 3 with 0-2 records, resulting in a sharp decline in their qualification odds according to statistical modeling by Valve Regional Standings (VRS) analyst “Udknud“.
Prior to the event in China, both teams held positive mathematical projections to secure Major berths. Those odds have now fallen under the 50 percent threshold following early eliminations.
Travel complications handicap GamerLegion
GamerLegion entered the competition under immediate duress after in-game leader Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski was unable to enter China. The Polish veteran was turned away after his passport sustained damage mid-travel.
Without their primary caller, GamerLegion fielded assistant coach Grashog as an emergency substitute. The improvised lineup struggled to find stability, falling to FURIA in their opening match before being eliminated by TYLOO in the 0-1 bracket. While a defeat against a strong FURIA side was within expected parameters, the subsequent loss against TYLOO will sting for the roster given the severe qualification penalties tied to a bottom-place exit.
Tough bracket seals BIG’s fate
BIG also failed to pick up a single victory in China, though their path proved far more demanding on paper. The German organization was drawn against BetBoom in their opener before dropping to the lower bracket to face tournament heavyweights G2.
Facing two top-tier opponents left little room for error, and the resulting back-to-back losses eliminated BIG in 13-16th place. While the outcome was less surprising than GamerLegion’s defeat to TYLOO, the mathematical penalty remains identical.
Simulations show steep drop in Major qualification odds
Udknud’s statistical model, which simulates 50,000 seasons across 60.1 million matches, demonstrates the direct damage these early exits have caused to both teams’ Major ambitions.

Before Fissure Playground 3, BIG held a 55.6 percent probability of qualifying for the Major. Their 13-16th finish dropped that projection down to 41.0 percent. GamerLegion entered the tournament with a 52.1 percent likelihood, which has now deteriorated to 33.8 percent following their 0-2 run.
Both teams now face an uphill battle in the remaining qualifying cycle, where consistent deep runs will be required to recover the ground lost in China.
