dev1ce after impressive comeback: Being back is awesome

After a lengthy break from competitive play, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz made his much-awaited comeback to CS:GO this Sunday when Astralis began their campaign at CCT North Europe Series 2.

And if some people were questioning whether the superstar AWPer had stayed in shape or not, he surely presented a clear answer. Throughout the four maps against Tricked and HEET, dev1ce racked up 125 kills and presented a 1.43 rating.

device dominate in comeback win for Astralis

Dev1ce stats in his first two games back:

1.43 Rating / 90.8 ADR / 125-80 K-D

1.56 K-D ratio / 0.95 kills per round 1.52 Impact rating

Following their exit at the $50.000 tournament, dev1ce has given a comment on his comeback describing the joy of being back on the server but also on the disappointing result against HEET.

– I am not gonna lie; it feels great to be back! I am still a bit rusty, which shows in some situations, but overall I am just happy to be back and to have this feeling of being on a team again. It is always about the team, and I am disappointed about the result, but being back is awesome.

Losing to HEET

Despite a strong individual showing by dev1ce, Astralis still not managed to defeat HEET in yesterday’s quarterfinal at CCT North Europe Series 2.

– We should have closed it on both maps, but honestly, we made too many mistakes, and I am including myself here. And then I have to compliment Heet for constantly being in our face and Afro was just a constant nuisance. He was extremely good, but so was his team.

On the right path

– The result of that game is not going to overshadow the overall positive feeling, though. There is so much to build on, and I am completely confident we are on the right path and that we will only improve from here. As a team, but also for myself. Bad result, good feeling, dev1ce said.

Astralis and dev1ce are set to play one more tournament this year, the Danish organization confirmed in the same statement.
