In the much-anticipated return of Nicolai “device” Reedtz for Astralis, the Danish AWPer delivered everything the fans of the Danes could have hoped for.
The two-time Major MVP spearheaded Astralis in the $50.000 tournament CCT North Europe Series 2, where the Danes have received an invitation to the playoff stage alongside teams such as ENCE, OG, and Sprout.
In their Round of 16 match against Tricked, Astralis came out strong on Mirage and took an early lead. The combination of device and blameF was lethal but Tricked played back and forced Astralis to use all 30 rounds before they could secure their own map pick. device dropped 32 kills on the map to solidify his comeback.
The domination from the AWPer continued on Nuke, where the rest of the Astralis squad also chipped in. Astralis won 16-8 against their fellow countrymen, and can now look forward to a Quarter-Final match against the winner of HEET vs Into the Breach. The match will be played on Tuesday.
