Confirmed: zews and Evil Geniuses part ways

Yesterday’s report about the departure of Wilton “⁠zews⁠” Prado was confirmed by the Brazilian coach today on Twitter.

The 33-year-old does not reveal the reason behind the breakup, but clarifies, that he is not done with competitive Counter-Strike as a coach yet.

– I have been lucky to work alongside and help develop some of the best athletes and teams this game has ever seen. I believe that I have gathered invaluable experience in doing so. Moving forward, I wish to continue to use my expertise and passion in the right project.

Wilton “⁠zews⁠” Prado has been the coach of some of the biggest teams in the CS:GO era with Luminosity Gaming, SK Gaming, Team Liquid, and MIBR among them.

The Brazilian coach is still on the EG roster, but will be working with the Organization “to figure out the best next steps for the future”.

Evil Geniuses has experienced a drastic drop in the world ranking from being #1 in September 2020 to #38 at the latest update.
