A player by the name of Ricardo “Floki” Silva has been banned for cheating during a South American CCT tournament, according to Dust2.com.br. The decision to ban the 20-year-old Brazilian came after his own coach reported him for using illegal software.
The incident occurred on Thursday in a match between Players and 2070, with Floki representing the latter. Following the match, Dust2.com.br reported that an investigation confirmed the use of cheats through both automated and manual checks.
As a result, Floki has been banned, and 2070 has been disqualified from the CCT tournament, despite their 2-1 victory over Players.
Cheats can’t guarantee success
Despite resorting to cheats, Floki’s performance during the series was underwhelming. He finished with a 0.88 rating, the second-lowest on the server, demonstrating that unfair advantages do not guarantee strong results.
