Braxton “swag” Pierce entered the North American scene in 2012, at the age of 16. Described as a young player with a mechanical aim, immense timing, flashy movement, confidence and the ability to win the entire round by himself. For that reason, believed many in the CS:GO community that he was the next big thing because of this enormous potential.
But just two years after his debut, it looked like his CS:GO career already was at an end. In 2014, Swag was one of the seven players involved in the “iBUYPOWER match-fixing scandal” where the iBUYPOWER team deliberately lost a match against NetcodeGuides.com, which resulted in a permanent ban from every Valve-sponsored event for each player involved. A promising career shattered in seconds.
He couldn’t find any top team that would sign him, owing to the reason that his bans included all the big events, and must therefore look for tier-2 or tier-3 teams.
Braxton Pierce announced his official departure from CS:GO in February 2020 by shortly after reporting that later he enters the professional scene of Valorant. He currently plays for T1 with the former CS:GO ELEAGUE Major winner Skadoodle.
