Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov is finalizing a loan move to Astralis. An initial report by Sebastien “KRL” Perez, corroborated by HLTV sources, indicates the 19-year-old Ukrainian player will join the Danish squad as a rifler.
This expected signing arrives shortly after reports surfaced regarding internal contract disagreements within the Astralis camp. The organization is actively seeking immediate replacements for Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard after negotiations for contract extensions reportedly broke down.
A new direction for the Ukrainian prospect
The move to Astralis brings a major positional change for cmtry. He has functioned as a dedicated AWPer since his stint with NAVI Youth began in 2023. Taking on rifling duties in a tier-one environment presents a completely different challenge for the young player.
FUT recently moved cmtry to the bench after a period of inconsistent performances to make room for the signing of Álvaro “SunPayus” García. Prior to his benching, cmtry delivered a standout performance at PGL Bucharest, where he earned the MVP medal and helped FUT secure their only trophy of the year.
