9z forfeit match as Luken oversleeps after taking sleeping pill

9z forfeits CS Asia Championship SA semifinal vs Fluxo after Luken oversleeps from a sleeping pill, with the player apologizing on X.

The South American team 9z had to forfeit a match against Fluxo as their player Luca “Luken” Nadotti overslept after taking a sleeping pill.

9z was playing qualification for the CS Asia Championship, a 1 million dollar tournament set to take place in mid October. The forfeited match was the semifinal of the South American qualifiers, which Imperial ended up winning.

On X, the Argentinian player explained what happened, however as it is in Spanish, we have used DeepL to translate it:

“I’m going to clarify what happened so you know and stop asking questions. It’s not an excuse, it’s just what happened. I’m really stressed out about some personal stuff, I took a pill to calm down and ended up falling asleep far away from my phone, and who knows if I turned off the alarms in my sleep. That’s all there is to it. I’m very sad about this and all I can do is take responsibility for what happened. I’m sorry.”
