FACEIT have set a launch date for their next CS2 season, with new server locations, a revamped interface and a reworked team experience as the headline changes.
FACEIT Season 10 goes live on Wednesday 9 December at , the platform announced on Wednesday. Season 9 closes the day before, on 8 December at , which leaves 20 hours between the two seasons.
What is confirmed so far
- Start date: Season 10 begins on 9 December at .
- End of Season 9: 8 December at .
- New server locations: confirmed, but FACEIT have not yet said where. Servers are the first update to be detailed.
- Revamped interface and team experience: announced as two of the three main features, without details so far.
- Soft Elo reset: the higher your Elo, the more it moves, to manage inflation at the top levels. Most players see a smaller adjustment, and staying active during Season 9 keeps it smaller still.
- Placement matches: decide where you start in Season 10, with a chance to climb higher than where you finished.
- More to come: FACEIT say Season 10 brings further updates alongside the three main features.
FACEIT will reveal the changes one at a time through November, starting with servers, then team play, the platform and the rest. Everything goes live together on 9 December.
That means the most requested detail, the actual server cities, is still missing.
Not announced yet
FACEIT’s Season 10 page says nothing so far about anti-cheat changes, rewards or map pool changes. Those may come with the November updates, which FACEIT say will be added to the same page as they are released.
How Season 10 compares
Season 10 will be FACEIT’s third season launch of 2026. Season 9 will have lasted 18 weeks, three weeks longer than Season 8.
| Season | Launch | Headline changes |
|---|---|---|
| Season 7 | 17 November 2025 | Platform integrity, verified accounts harder to buy, sell or misuse |
| Season 8 | 22 April 2026 | Placement matches, FACEIT Rating, Match Insights |
| Season 9 | 5 August 2026 | Lighter soft Elo reset, Human Input Detection, Seasonal Stats |
| Season 10 | 9 December 2026 | New server locations, revamped interface, team experience |
The last launch was built around fairness. Season 9 made the soft Elo reset lighter and more personalised, reading a player’s last 50 games, win rate and FACEIT Rating, and gave every player ten placement matches. It also added Human Input Detection, a machine-learning layer of the FACEIT Anti-Cheat that judges players by their in-game actions rather than the software they run, and which FACEIT said was especially effective against AI cheats.
Season 9 also brought Seasonal Stats, which archive each season separately on a player’s profile, an updated ban policy with longer bans for cheating, smurfing and stream sniping, Vertigo as an optional map, and a one-week half-time voice chat test between opponents.
Season 10 shifts the focus to where and how people play. The reset principle stays the same: the highest Elos move the most, and placements decide the rest.
