Valve pushed a new patch for Counter-Strike 2 last night, introducing a series of quality-of-life adjustments and minor weapon tweaks to the game.
Adjustments to the AUG and communication tools
The most prominent gameplay change in the latest release is the adjustment to the AUG. The development team has reduced the reload time for the scoped rifle by half a second. This alteration directly impacts the pacing of engagements for players utilizing the weapon on the Counter-Terrorist side.
In addition to the weapon tweak, Valve has added a ping icon for dropped defuse kits. This feature provides players with better non-verbal communication tools during bomb defusal scenarios, allowing teams to quickly locate dropped equipment on the ground.
Audio fixes and map corrections
The update addresses several audio inconsistencies and map-related errors. The developers fixed a specific sound event tied to the silent reload mechanic for the Desert Eagle. Furthermore, a bug causing buzzing soundscape noises during demo playback has been fully resolved.
Rounding out the patch are clipping fixes applied to Rush maps, along with general localization and stability updates to improve overall performance.
