Team Liquid has secured its first LAN tournament victory in over seven years, claiming first place at the iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026. The result ends a 2,626-day drought for the North American organization, whose last offline trophy lift occurred on July 21, 2019, at IEM Chicago.
A flawless run against regional competitors
While the iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026 did not carry the prestige of an S-tier international event, it featured a competitive lineup of the strongest regional teams, including Wildcard, M80, DENDELE, and NRG. Team Liquid completed the bracket without dropping a single map to secure the $12,500 first-place prize.
Their path to the trophy began with a 2-0 victory over Chicken Coop followed up with consecutive 2-0 sweeps against NRG and M80, setting up a grand final clash two days later. Last night, they dispatched Wildcard with a final 2-0 scoreline to close out the tournament.
Major ticket secured
Team Liquid were already almost 100% sure of a spot at the Singapore Major, but with the win in Las Vegas, Team Liquid is now 99.8% sure of making it to the Major according to VRS analyst, Jesper “Udknud” Larsen.
