The group stage of BLAST Open Porto 2026 came to an end on Monday in Copenhagen, with four matches determining the final playoff bracket. Spirit and MOUZ claimed direct paths to the semi-finals, while Vitality and G2 secured the last available quarter-final spots. The remaining six teams will now travel to Portugal to compete at the Super Bock Arena.
Upper bracket finals dictate playoff seeding
In the upper bracket matches on Monday, Spirit and MOUZ secured direct progression to the semi-finals.
Spirit delivered a clean 2-0 victory over FURIA. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov led the server with a 1.33 rating and a positive 16 kill-death difference, while Danil “donk” Kryshkovets contributed a 1.31 rating. The Brazilian squad struggled against the pressure, with Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato posting a 0.71 rating during the series.
MOUZ claimed a 2-1 win over Falcons in the other upper bracket series. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás recorded a 1.21 rating and a positive 17 kill-death difference, supported by xelex with a 1.36 rating. Falcons faced difficulties throughout the matchup, particularly from their veteran players, as Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Finn “karrigan” Andersen finished with 0.76 and 0.83 ratings, respectively.
FURIA and Falcons will enter the playoffs in the quarter-final round as a result of their defeats.
Final lower bracket survivors
The lower bracket finals concluded with Vitality and G2 eliminating FUT and Aurora from the tournament.
Vitality swept FUT 2-0, fueled by strong performances from Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire. ZywOo finished the series with a 1.43 rating and a positive 15 kill-death difference, while apEX posted a 1.40 rating. FUT exits the event following the loss, with players like xfl0ud recording a 0.71 rating.
G2 earned their quarter-final spot with a 2-1 victory against Aurora. HeavyGod anchored G2 with a 1.46 rating and positive 16 kill-death difference across three maps. Aurora players kyxsan and XANTARES fell behind the pace, finishing with ratings of 0.80 and 0.84, sealing their elimination from the event.

The final phase of BLAST Open Porto 2026 begins on Friday, September 4, in Porto, Portugal.The quarter-finals will feature a rematch from the IEM Cologne Major between Falcons and G2, followed by FURIA taking on Vitality.
