Rostermania 2026 Summer: The big CS2 teams considering changes

The CS2 scene was hit with a barrage of roster change leaks right after the end of the IEM Cologne Major.

The CS2 scene was hit with a barrage of roster leaks after the end of the IEM Cologne Major.

The official announcement of Cache returning to the map pool has not been the only bombshell dropped on the competitive scene of Counter-Strike 2.

Multiple top teams are rumored to make changes, with multiple reliable sources leaking the ongoing discussions and planned moves. Here are all the rumored changes you should know about.

Below Top 20 VRS: FaZe, Liquid…

FaZe and Liquid’s respective disastrous seasons have put them below the top 20 range in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). They are ranks #23 and #41 globally, at the time of writing.

KRL: FaZe to add MartinezSa as new AWPer, as broky switches to the rifle

The Spanish AWPer has been the star player of Gentle Mates, which KRL also says is set to leave Counter-Strike after they failed to reach the IEM Cologne Major.

With this move, Ryan ‘Neityu’ Aubry’s loan will end. The twist is that Helvijs ‘broky’ Saukants will stay as a rifler, his original role before switching to the AWP.

Dust2.us: Liquid to recruit JT, who may bring T.c with him

Johnny ‘JT’ Theodosiou is rumored to join Team Liquid, according to Dust2.us, with multiple FACEIT games played with Liquid players as additional evidence to the fact.

Liquid has gone through a downward spiral, only reaching the IEM Cologne Major due to the exploitation of a loophole within the VRS.

JT comes off of the failure of the Passion.UA project, but has a record of succeeding alongside Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski. KRL also said JT is trying to bring Pasison.UA’s coach with him.

Top 20 VRS Teams: Aurora going international, FUT…

Following periods of stagnation, some top 20 teams are going for changes. Some are trying to become more competitive, while others are reaching for the very top.

KRL: kyxsan to join Aurora as IGL

KRL, an ex-professional Counter-Strike: Source player from the French scene, now a streamer, has put out that Damjan ‘kyxsan’ Stoilkovski is in talks to join Aurora as an in-game leader (IGL).

This is a huge shift for Aurora, a fully Turkish team down to the coach, with a number of star players that are not accustomed to play in English.

KRL: FUT set to sign xfl0ud

FUT, one of the most exciting new teams in 2026, is also rumored to make changes. This was first foreshadowed by Laurențiu ‘lauNX’ Țârlea in an interview with HLTV, saying there were already offers on the table.

Yasin ‘xfl0ud’ Koç from HEROIC is rumored to join, one of the key pieces of that team.
