9z outplay Astralis to go 2-0 in Stage 2

The mixed Americas team beat Astralis 13-5 on their home map of Nuke.

The mixed Americas team beat Astralis 13-5 on their home map of Nuke.

Astralis‘s recent struggles at top events continue, with their international signings struggled once again.

Both phzy and Ryu suffered. The Swedish AWPer went 5-14 on Nuke, while the latter missed a sitter in a 1v1 in the second pistol round that could have reignited Astralis.

On the other hand, 9z looked dominant, with aggression akin to an Americas version of FUT.

They almost fell behind in the first half, but won a critical force buy with pistols, and ran with the momentum from there.

Player of the match: meyern

The Argentinian proved to be the player of the map, with high impact on the AWP.

9z’s coach, BIT, highlighted meyern, though said that all of 9z contributed.

This shows in the stats, with all five players having 10+ kills by the end.

BIT still said that losing anti-eco rounds could be a concern for them, and did not gloat after beating Astralis.

There’s always something to improve. But happy with the performance today.

FUT secure victory over TYLOO

On the other stream, it was the other young mixed team of FUT handing TYLOO a humbling.

They beat TYLOO 13-9 on Overpass, but had a 12-6 lead and were comfortable throughout.

The player of map was Krabeni, top fragging for FUT and calling them to victory in the end.
