Riot Games has just dropped the official V26 Roadmap, giving us a crystal-clear look at the development pipeline from the current Act all the way into Season 2027. If you have been wondering when the highly anticipated replay system is expanding or when the meta is finally going to shift back in favor of Sentinels, we finally have exact dates.
Here is a complete breakdown of every patch, balance update, and new game mode detailed in the newly revealed VALORANT roadmap.
Act 3: Meta Hotfixes and Social Replays
Riot is closing out Act 3 with some highly requested quality-of-life features and aggressive balance tuning targeting the current mobility meta.
Patch 12.09 (May 12) – Live Balance
As many players have already experienced, this patch was entirely focused on reigning in explosive movement and close-quarters dominance:
- Neon Nerfs: Tuning down her overall evasiveness and movement speed to introduce healthier counterplay.
- Weapon Tuning (Shotguns): Adjustments across the board for the Shorty, Bucky, and Judge, significantly reducing their effectiveness while jumping or moving.
Patch 12.10 (May 27) – Replays Expansion
- Friend Sharing: The wait is over. Players will officially be able to share their replay files with friends directly through the client. Whether you are setting up team VOD reviews or just proving to your duo that your shot actually did hit, this is a massive win for the community.
Act 4: The Sentinel Resurgence and New Modes
Act 4 kicks off in late June and is shaping up to be a massive shake-up for both the competitive ladder and the overarching tactical meta.
Patch 13.00 (June 23) – The Big Shift
This is the heavy-hitter patch of the summer. Riot is taking aim at rank integrity while completely shifting the agent balance ecosystem.
- Competitive Integrity: New updates will introduce reporter feedback for rank manipulation and apply strict, automated penalties for those caught boosting or manipulating the ladder.
- Sentinel Buffs: The anchor role is getting some much-needed love. Expect significant buffs across the Sentinel roster to make stalling and holding space a viable counter to fast executes.
- Initiator Cooldown Tuning: To balance the pacing of rounds, Initiator signature abilities are having their cooldowns adjusted.
- Weapon Tuning (Bandit): The new Bandit pistol is receiving targeted tuning to establish its place in the weapon economy.
- New 3v3 Spike Mode: A brand-new, smaller-scale Spike mode is launching, perfect for quick, highly tactical skirmishes.
Patch 13.02 (July 28) – Pure Chaos
- All Random One Site: Replication Mode: Riot is blending two community-favorite concepts. This mode promises absolute chaos by forcing everyone onto a single site with randomized, replicated agents. Expect absolute utility overload.
Looking Ahead: Act 5 and V27
While details are intentionally kept light for the later half of the year, the roadmap provides a solid tease of what is to come:
- Act 5 (September): A major Dev Update is scheduled, bringing with it a highly anticipated New Experimental Mode (teased alongside KAY/O imagery).
- V27 (2027 Season): Riot is preparing a massive overhaul for the ranked grind, promising an entirely New Ranked Reset Experience and completely overhauled New Ranked Rewards to replace the traditional gun buddies.
Make sure to grind out your final Act 3 matches and prepare your setups, because the transition into Patch 13.00 is going to drastically change how VALORANT is played.
