Apex Legends server status: Live tracker

EA’s Apex Legends has many servers communicating with each other to make the game what it is, including Login servers, Account servers, and Game servers amongst many others. With separate data centers all around the world, sometimes the game ends up with disconnects or higher than expected latency.

This live Apex Legends server status tracker is directly connected to EA’s servers. Keep track of Apex Legends server status in case the game is having issues.

Apex Legends server status metrics

The game doesn’t just run on a single server. It is a massive web of interconnected services that all have to work together perfectly. If even one of these metrics fails, the game will likely run into login or matchmaking issues.
Here is what those technical terms actually mean for the Apex Legends server status:

  • Apex server status (OAuth): This is the authentication layer. Think of it as the digital handshake between the account and the game. If this is down, the game cannot verify who will not be able to log in.
  • Origin Login: Even though many play on Steam or consoles, the EA/Origin login backbone is still essential. If this service is struggling, the game will be unable to connect to the EA servers regardless of the platform.
  • EA Accounts: This handles the account’s personal data, including inventory, skins, unlocked Legends, and stats. If you ever log in and notice the account’s level is 0, no rank, or the skins are missing, this is usually the culprit.
  • EA Novafusion: This is a backend service that manages the communication between different game systems. When this is unstable, the game might experience issues with the in-game shop or party invites.

Where are the Apex servers located?

To provide a smooth experience for millions of players, Respawn utilizes data centers across the globe. The lower the game’s response time (measured in ms), the better the hit registration will be. Here is where the primary server hubs are located:

  • EU West and EU East: These servers cover the European continent, with major hubs in London, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam to ensure low latency for Western and Eastern European players.
  • US West, US Central, and US East: North America is split into three main regions to minimize the distance data has to travel across the continent. This covers major points from Oregon and Salt Lake City to Iowa and South Carolina.
  • South America: Centered largely around São Paulo, these servers provide the primary connection point for the entire LATAM region.
  • Asia: This covers massive player bases in Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong, which are some of the busiest data centers in the world.

Checking the Apex Legends server status for a specific region is vital because one data center can be down for maintenance while another is perfectly healthy. If the game is experiencing high response times in the data center’s local area, it might be worth manually swapping to a different region in the game’s main menu to find a more stable connection.
