Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski is a highly accomplished professional Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player from the United States. Known for his technical skill, game sense, and adaptability, he has been a central figure in North American Counter-Strike for over a decade. Personal Background and Early Career

Born on July 16, 1997, EliGE is of Polish descent and is fluent in the language. His interest in competitive gaming was sparked by StarCraft 2 before he transitioned to Counter-Strike. His in-game alias originates from his admiration for a StarCraft 2 player named “seleCT” and the Spanish word “elige,” meaning “to choose”.   

He started his competitive Counter-Strike career in 2014, playing for smaller teams such as Team JusTus and SapphireKelownaDotCom. Although these teams did not achieve major success, they provided EliGE with the platform to refine his mechanical precision and deep understanding of the game. These formative experiences set the stage for his rapid climb into the upper echelon of competitive Counter-Strike when he joined eLevate in early 2015.   

Team Liquid (2015-2023) – Breakthrough and Dominance

On March 23, 2015, EliGE experienced a career-defining moment by signing with Team Liquid. He quickly solidified himself as a core roster component, utilizing his sharp aim and tactical versatility to push Liquid into top-tier international competition. A landmark achievement occurred in 2016 when Team Liquid reached the grand finals of ESL One: Cologne, making them the first North American team to reach a Valve-sponsored Major final.   

The pinnacle of EliGE’s career arrived in 2019. Team Liquid utterly dominated the competitive scene, winning four significant premier tournaments in rapid succession: IEM Sydney, DreamHack Masters Dallas, ESL Pro League Season 9, and ESL One Cologne. By securing these victories in a record-breaking 63 days, Team Liquid won the Intel Grand Slam Season 2, earning a $1 million bonus. EliGE was the driving force behind this run, peaking at #4 on HLTV’s Top 20 Players of 2019 list.   

Complexity and FaZe Clan (2023-2025)

After an eight-year tenure, EliGE departed Team Liquid during a regional restructuring phase in June 2023 to join Complexity. His veteran leadership immediately elevated the squad, driving them to the finals of IEM Sydney 2023 and ending a 14-year LAN trophy drought for the organization by winning ESL Challenger Jönköping 2023. He also led them to victory at the ESL Challenger DreamHack Summer 2024, earning the 19th spot on HLTV’s Top 20 Players of 2024 with a stellar 1.16 average rating.  

Seeking title contention, EliGE transferred to the European powerhouse FaZe Clan in January 2025, replacing Robin “ropz” Kool. While EliGE maintained a respectable 1.11 rating, his aggressive entry-fragging style clashed with the passive anchor roles vacated by his predecessor. Struggling to find a cohesive systemic balance, FaZe benched EliGE in August 2025 to accommodate Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski.   

Return to Team Liquid (2025-Present)

In September 2025, EliGE made an emotional return to Team Liquid via a blockbuster mutual transfer that sent Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken back to FaZe. Rejoining a roster featuring Keith “NAF” Markovic, Guy “NertZ” Iluz, and Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak, EliGE resumed his signature aggressive rifling duties. By July 2026, the team underwent further leadership adjustments to resolve mid-round cohesion issues, replacing in-game leader Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek with Johnny “JT” Theodosiou.
