2021 has been a fantastic year for NAVI and especially Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. The 24-year-old Ukrainian has been outstanding throughout the year with the Major win and the MVP title at PGL Stockholm as the ultimate token of a year to remember for him and the NAVI Nation.
A couple of days ago we posted an article, where we discovered the fact, that s1mple has been the best player in the world on all the maps, that he and NAVI plays!

A very impressive statistic from the NAVI superstar, but has it happened before?
We have pulled the numbers from the HLTV database, where the ratings date back to 2015. We have compiled a list of the top 5 players on each map during the years. To compare the different years, we have made a point system as follows:
1st place on a map: 5 points
2nd place on a map: 4 points
3rd place on a map: 3 points
4th place on a map: 2 points
5th place on a map: 1 point
It is probably no surprise, that this year’s incredible performance from s1mple has not been matched before in history. Looking back on the stats from the previous years also tells a story about an insane duo of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who is just on another level than everybody else, while the competition was much more even in the early days.
