MOUZ, Liquid, and now Vitality have been the casualties of an insane run from 9z at IEM Dallas. The South Americans gave the money 501 times again before the start of the tournament, but now finds themselves one match away from the Grand Final in Dallas. Against Team Vitality Franco ‘dgt’ Garcia led the team to a 2-0 victory by winning on Dust2 and Anubis.
Team Spirit won the other group final, as they fought off FaZe 13-11, 13-10. Boris ‘magixx’ Vorobiev was the best player on the server in a match, where Danil “donk” Kryshkovets had an unusual quite match despite the win.
G2 and Heroic also managed to qualify for the playoffs with victories against Liquid and BIG. Jake ‘Stewie2K’ Yip will therefore return to the stage, as the American plays the tournament as a stand-in for Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen. Stewie2k is the only North American player left in the event.
