Valorant Patch Adds UI Overhaul, Emotes, and Reaver 3.0 in Development

Riot Games has rolled out a new Valorant patch, and while it may seem like a standard balance update at first glance, it actually hides some major new features – including a complete UI overhaul, early signs of a Reaver 3.0 skin bundle, and even emotes being added to the game files for the first time ever.

Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Valorant update.

Agent balance changes

While this patch is mostly focused on new features and UI improvements, a few agents have received key balance tweaks:

Omen

  • Spectators can now view Omen’s perspective inside his Dark Cover smoke.
  • This change is mostly for observer clarity and doesn’t affect gameplay.

Clove

  • Ruse charges: When Clove dies, her smokes are now limited to one maximum charge instead of two.
  • Pick-Me-Up (C ability): Healing has been reduced from 100 HP → 50 HP.
  • These adjustments are designed to reduce Clove’s self-sustain potential while keeping her aggressive playstyle intact.

Harbor

  • As confirmed in the recent Harbor rework, his abilities have been completely overhauled with a new kit focused on flexible smokes and crowd control.

Major UI overhaul

One of the biggest visible changes in this patch is the user interface revamp.

  • The Collections tab now uses a grid layout, giving a cleaner and more modern feel.
  • The health bar has been redesigned as a progress bar, replacing the old circular display.
  • These visual updates aim to make menus more intuitive and player-friendly, particularly for newer users and console players.

Console replay system

A highly requested feature is finally here – console players now have access to Valorant’s replay system.

This feature allows players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S to rewatch matches, study plays, and analyze their performance. While still in early stages, it’s a major step forward for competitive accessibility on consoles.

Emotes added to game files

Perhaps the most surprising discovery in this patch is the addition of emote animations to the Valorant game files.

A new 3D skeleton animation model was found in the data, strongly suggesting that Riot Games is developing in-game emotes for agents – possibly similar to other Riot titles like League of Legends and TFT.

It’s unclear how these will function, but players speculate that emotes could be used in pre-round lobbies, victory screens, or social spaces.

Reaver 3.0 in development

Fans of Valorant’s most iconic skin line can rejoice – Reaver 3.0 is officially in development.

Data miners have discovered files referencing the third iteration of the fan-favorite skin collection, hinting at its return with updated models, fresh animations, and possibly new color variants.

While Riot hasn’t officially announced Reaver 3.0 yet, this discovery all but confirms that it’s on the way.

What’s next for Valorant

With emotes in the works, a smoother UI, and the return of legendary skin lines, Riot Games seems to be focusing on modernizing Valorant’s experience ahead of 2026.

The studio continues to expand beyond traditional gameplay features, introducing cosmetic depth and quality-of-life updates that bring Valorant closer to the polish of major titles like Fortnite and Overwatch.
